| Interference Filters |
| Product Information Both standard and custom-made interference filters can be supplied within the spectral range from 200 nm to 2000 nm. Development and production according to customers’ specifications comprise the greatest part of our business. The high vacuum evaporation process (PVD) is used to coat substrates. Ion assisted deposition processes, such as the reactive ion plating process are also available and lead to very hard and compact thin films. As a consequence, these interference filters exhibit excellent climatic resistance and have very stable spectral characteristics with respect to temperature and humidity changes. Some products types are listed below:
Applications The subsequent list only represents a small part of the entire range of applications possible:
Materials Almost all inorganic glasses and glass ceramics are suitable for use as substrates for interference filters. The choice of substrate is highly dependent on the specific requirements placed upon the finished interference filter. For example, coating on:
Specifications Standard specifications are catalogued and are available for download. Bespoke specifications can be developed, subject to certain limitations. Filters as small as 1mm x1 mm can be supplied, right up to 400 mm in diameter (dependent on the interference filter selected). Quality Assurance Right from the uncoated substrate to the finished interference filter(s), both optical and non-optical properties are continuously monitored.
