SKAN proudly announce it's affiliation with the UK's leading stove industry body.

Jeremy Drew from SKAN said: "Following the SIA January 2009 meeting, it was clear to me that SKAN / SCHOTT needed to become an active member within this dynamic organistaion." Jeremy went on to say "the SIA is the manufacturer's/retailer's voice within the UK stove market, and we would actively encourage all those within the UK stove industry to become involved."

SIA Mission Statement:-

"To promote the benefits and environmental advantages of stoves as heating appliances."

Objectives of the SIA:-

• To lobby and influence government on legislation effecting stoves to promote their benefits and environmental advantages.
• To maintain an independently audited system to monitor sales trends in the UK and Ireland.
• To provide a brief to the HETAS Technical Committee of those issues which fulfil the objectives of the SIA.
• To promote the products and services of its members to as wide an audience as possible.
